Festival Kopi Tambora 2012 diselenggarakan pada tanggal 29 September 2012. Event yang diadakan untuk pertama kalinya ini merupakan Pra event dalam rangka Dua Abad meletusnya Gunung Tambora 2015. Rencananya event ini akan diadakan setiap tahun oleh Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Bima sebagai ajang promosi pariwisata di Kabupaten Bima khususnya Gunung Tambora sebagai salah satu objek wisata alam dan budaya.
Acara ini bertema “Semalam Bersama di Tambora”. Berbagai acara akan digelar untuk memeriahkan acara tersebut, yaitu Berkemah di sekitar lereng Gunung Tambora, tepatnya di Pesanggrahan (areal perkebunan Kopi) Desa Oi Bura, Kecamatan Tambora. Selain itu juga digelar Pagelaran musik dan tarian tradisional Bima yang akan dipersembahkan oleh sanggar-sanggar seni di sekitar wilayah Kecamatan Tambora dan Kecamatan Sanggar.
