Bajo Pulo

Sape is one of districts in Bima which is located in 45 km east side of Bima. In Sape, there is a small beautiful island named Bajo Pulo. Most of the local people lived as a fisherman. Sape is also passed by tourists who want to go to Komodo island, Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara. To support the beauty of the island, there is many facilities from restaurant, hotel, meals, security, telecommunication to a port for ferry boat.
There are many local ships to deliver you from Sape port to Bajo Pulo which takes around 10 minutes. Many traditional boats are also available for those whom continue the journey to Komodo island.
Please stay in Sape for couple of days and you will enjoy :
– Seeing the local fisherman’s activity in the morning and afternoon while they are going and coming from the sea. You can also go fishing around Sape strait if you like.
– Sun bathing in many beautiful small islands ; Torowamba island (Poja village), Papah island (Lambu village), Gilibanta island (Bajo Pulo) and Kelapa Island.
– Visiting and seeing hundred of snakes in snake island (Pai Village, Wera district)
– In Bajo Pulo village, there are local people who raise fishes on karamba (traditional place made from bamboo), and also seaweed. There is also Telaga Bidadari and Walet bird’s nest in Bajo Pulo.
